A weaver since 1969, Sarah's work has focused on art
as a language that can be used to communicate one's
feelings, concerns and ideas. From large collaborative
projects and pictorial tapestries to small personal
weaving, Sarah uses weaving to connect students to
cultures around the world and in their community.
Over and Under The Magic of Paper Weaving
(Grades K-12)
Explore the magic of paper (found, recycled or
decorated) as the foundation for weaving and as a rich
source for creative self-expression. Material list will
be provided. Length: 60 minutes
Vagabond Weaver Workshop (Grades K-12)
Participants will learn to use everyday objects for a
loom, warp and weft. Student will experiment with
recycled and natural materials to create weavings.
Length: 60 minutes
It Takes a Community to
Weave a Tapestry (Grade K-12)
Design and create a weaving on a rectangular or circular loom and then fashion objects to attach to the weaving to connect to the theme.
