Antonio Rocha, from Brazil, has delighted audiences
with his unique blend of mime and storytelling at The Kennedy Center,
Singapore Arts Festival, National Storytelling Festival in Tennessee,
Yale's Peabody Museum, The Netherlands Dunya Festival, Tales of Graz International
Festival in Austria, and the Smithsonian Institute. He has studied with
masters Tony Montanaro and Marcel Marceau.
Jungle Tales (Grades K-6)
Through Rocha's wonderful blend of mime and storytelling this program
takes you into the forests of Brazil. Antonio introduces “Tico,”
a baby monkey (puppet), orphaned by the burning of the Amazon rainforests.

Crossroads (Grades K-8)
Tales from Brazil, Africa, Asia and the USA are featured in stories told
with masks and mime. Students may meet a smart beggar boy who captures
a clever iguana, a horse with a penchant for saving lives, and a forest
rat that tries to convince the sun, cloud and wind to marry his daughter.
