The Three Little Pigs (Grades K-5)

photo-ct opera expressUsing the familiar children’s story as a point of reference, The Three Little Pigs takes Despina, a young girl, and her brothers Giovanni and Cherubino, through a typical family squabble. When the siblings argue over the proper construction of a house, Despina proclaims that they can find the plans for a good house in the library. The boys reply that books are silly and they already know how to build a snug little cottage. When Wolfgang Bigbad enters the picture, the boys learn a valuable lesson. Set to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, this story is sure to please

 


Music Shop

photo-ct opera expressBased on the Chekov Short Story, I Forgot By Richard Wargo (Grades 3-12 and adults)
"I'll know it when I hearit!" is the plea from a husband who has forgotten the title of a song his bossy wife ordered him to find. The staff of "the music shop" (the largest music store is Russia) tries to jog his memory by singing highlights from well-known operas and Russian folk tunes as his concentration is interrupted by visions of his wife.

Travel through the streets of Paris and across France as you thrill to the drama and beauty of French opera. From Bizet to the fiery passion of Carmen and the subtle nuances of Lakmé and all that France has given to the operatic repertoire.

American Pie (Grades 5-12 and adults)
